The short version

As an Amazon Associate, I earn from qualifying purchases. When a guide recommends a specific product — a paper weight, a poster frame, a foam board — the link to buy it on Amazon may be an affiliate link. If you buy through it, Amazon pays us a small commission. It never adds anything to your price.

What is an affiliate link?

An affiliate link is a normal product link with a tracking tag attached. If you click one and then buy the item (or something else in that visit), the retailer credits the sale to us and pays a small percentage. You pay the same price you would have paid anyway — the commission comes out of the retailer's margin, not your pocket.

Our recommendations are independent

We recommend supplies because they produce good prints, full stop. The commission never decides what goes in a guide. Most of what we suggest — like using 32 lb matte presentation paper instead of copy paper — is advice we'd give whether or not there was a link attached, and you're always free to buy the same item anywhere, or a different brand entirely.
